Dr. Stacy Witfill
Dr. Witfill obtained her undergraduate degree from Valparaiso University in 1992 with a BS in Biology. While maintaining academic Dean’s list status and honors she also played on the Valparaiso’s women's Division One softball team as the team's scholarship pitcher during the 1988-1992 seasons.
Dr. Witfill matriculated at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at the Rosalind College of Medicine in 1992 and graduated Cum Laude in 1996. During her four years she was a member of the Durlacher honor society and participated on the woman's traveling basketball team. Dr. Witfill than completed her first two years of Podiatric medical and surgical residency at the Oak Forest hospital residency program in Illinois. Dr. Witfill than completed an intensive surgical training residency at the Lee County Hospital in Ft. Myers Florida. In July 1999 she and her husband James moved to citrus county with plans already in place for Dunnellon Podiatry Center, P A to open immediately.
Dr. Witfill is board certified in by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in Foot surgery and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. She has active surgical and courtesy courtesy privileges’ at Citrus Memorial hospital and Citrus surgery center.
Dr. Witfill finds providing comprehensive and exceptional foot and ankle care to her patients in a caring, friendly and professional setting to be extremely gratifying. The gratification of helping patients is what drives Dr. Witfill to continue striving for better outcomes. Continuing education is a top priority for Dr. Witfill and she often exceeds the hours required for licensure and finds attending numerous conferences helps to provide her with the tools to offer cutting edge podiatric medical and surgical care.
Dr. Witfill finds great joy in spending time with her husband and their twin daughters. She also enjoys scuba diving, reading, surfing, and mountain biking.
